It is a relatively new platform owned by Google which allows people and businesses to publish their products, services, and events directly on the Google Search Engine (in the Knowledge panel), and on Google Maps. Using this feature enables you to create content directly on Google which appears highly ranked in the search results for your name and/or brand.
